Morgan’s Mercantile & General Store was founded on an independent spirit and a love for the simpler times in life where stories were told around a fire and items were handmade.
Originating in 2011, the idea to provide children with quality, ecofriendly, handmade toys that inspire their imagination began the story of the mercantile. While I still design and create handmade toys, a few years later, the love for the old took over and my passion for ‘pickin’ and sewing merged. Here antique and vintage textiles are now repurposed and given a beautiful new life - just waiting for their next story to emerge.
My workshop represents an old-time general store from the late 1800s to early 1920s. It is open occasionally to the general public as a working and operating general store.
